Automechanika Frankfurt Review

First Line Ltd made an impressive impact at the Automechanika show in Frankfurt, which had a record 136,000 visitors from over 170 countries. The 180m² stand, which showcased the company’s three brands of First Line, Borg & Beck and Key Parts to great effect, was a hive of activity for the full duration of the show.

The theme for the event was ‘Discover the Past, Be Part of Our Future’, which reflects First Line’s well established aftermarket heritage and impressive experience, it is this experience that enables the company to facilitate new business in new markets. First Line took the opportunity during the show to seek out new distribution opportunities as well as welcoming existing customers to enjoy some time together and update them with the latest product offerings.

Introduced last year, Borg & Beck’s range of Commercial Vehicle components has been a massive hit with distributors and was a big point of interest on the stand. The premium quality Borg & Beck CV range now offers more than 800 references including Clutch, Steering and Suspension, Rotating Electrics, Water Pumps, and Brake Discs and Drums.

The company’s excellent WebCat electronic parts catalogue was another popular attraction on the stand, as the company took advantage of the wide-ranging audience present at the global event to demonstrate the new and improved versions for both First Line and Borg & Beck. These online portals link products to their specific vehicle applications, with important features such as technical layout drawings and 360º imagery for each product. The improved portals are therefore easier to use and further aid the efficient identification of components, so distributors can supply First Line products in complete confidence.

First Line’s components are now supplied into more than 60 countries globally, with an extensive product portfolio that contains in excess of 37,000 references, which are kept under constant review and therefore consistently developed and extended.

First Line’s Managing Director, Dan Joyner, said: “As this show is dedicated to the international side of the business, export is an area where we have dedicated resources focusing on the development of new opportunities all over the World., which herald an exciting future for the company. As a result, Automechanika Frankfurt has been a tremendous success for us.

“We’ve also had the pleasure of spending time with our existing customers to understand their strategy going forward and bring them up to speed with the company’s developments. The message is clear, we are committed to developing our product ranges and the service we offer across all markets, which is our first and main priority for all of our customers, wherever they do business.”
